A balanced and healthy diet is necessary to be healthy and feel good about ourselves.
In recent years there is a great concern as to how one should eat, but one confusion about this topic. But finally it seems that the moves to do is rather simple.
Tips on how we can improve our diet:
Consume foods from all groups. All foods are needed, and no food itself contains all the nutrients in the required amounts. But some foods need to consume more than others …
Eat more starchy foods rich in fiber, such as bread and whole grains, raw rice, pulses.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day will help us to supplement the necessary vitamins, but also to get enough without taking a lot of calories. 1 bowl of salad and 3-4 fruits our cover in one day.
Reduces fatty foods, avoid the “fast” food that is rich in fat and salt and limit the consumption of red meat (beef, pork, lamb) in no more than 3-4 times a month. We prefer vegetable oils, especially olive oil. Also, foods with “good” fat is the unsalted, uncooked fruits and oily fish (sardines, tuna, mackerel, herring, trout), which is good to regularly present in our diet.
Avoid a lot of sugar, which is sweet and soft drinks but also in various standardized foods such as biscuits, croissants, commercial yogurt desserts.
Eat moderate portions and frequent meals. This helps us to have the right weight, because it does not stay hungry several hours to hungry strongly in the next meal while avoiding the large amount of food.
Drink water! Usually 8 glasses a day can meet our needs, if we eat balanced.
We enjoy eating. Eat balanced does not mean lack or suppressed. I eat when really hungry, stop eating when satiate and enjoy my meal dedicating time to it in order to eat in peace.
